OKAY, WHAT TERMS CAN I GET IF I WANT TO OWN AN ORIGINAL PAINTING BY DONNA BARNES-ROBERTS?

If you have come here, you hopefully have some interest in acquiring a painting that you saw on my site. If, instead you are interested in commissioning a painting (having me paint something specific and special just for you), CLICK HERE

Prices listed with the paintings you have seen are not negotiable, but I like to make it easy to acquire my paintings, even if it may seem like a lot of money.

First of all, I want you to love to live with the painting you choose. Therefore, if you are considering purchasing a painting, e-mail me and I can send you a detailed photo of the painting - it will show the painting better than the scan on the Internet.

If you decide to purchase a painting, you have one week after the painting has arrived to decide whether you can live without it. If you paid the entire price at once, I will refund your entire purchase price, less shipping and packaging charges if you decide to return the painting. If you paid through layaway, I will refund all but the first 20% deposit on the piece. If you paid through credit card, I will refund all but the credit card charges and shipping/packaging. Refunds are only made after the painting has been returned (and it must be insured).

Painting prices listed throughout the site do not include shipping and packaging charges, and you will need to email me for the amount since it varies somewhat depending upon the painting and where it is going. Unframed paintings are relatively inexpensive to ship, framed paintings cost a little more. A few of the largest paintings cannot be shipped framed, because of size constraints (mainly the 48"x48" ones or larger).

Now, let's look at the payment possibilities:

1. Cash, check or money order are always acceptable. I wait 10 days before shipping when checks are recieved, to allow me to verify that the check has cleared.

2. Layaway - always a popular option. This is a no-interest option that helps budgeting. Layaways require a 20% non-refundable deposit. Then payments are made monthly at 10% of the total purchase price per month until the account is paid in full, then the painting is shipped. Your painting will be packaged and stored ready-to-ship as soon as the 20% deposit is received. No interest is charged as long as payments are made on time. Nonpayment of required payment for 3 months cancels the purchase, and the 20% deposit is forfeited.

3. Credit cards. I now accept Credit Card payments, but only through PayPal. Payments can be made to through them to donna@barnesroberts.com.
